For the first-time ever, many of the legends that graced your 2013 Seahawks tell the stories behind-the-scenes of one of the greatest teams of this century. Chapter 1 gives us an immediate flashback through the year of greatness, from running back Marshawn Lynch's dominance and Skittles commercials, second-year quarterback Russell Wilson's rise to stardom and the notorious secondary - the Legion of Boom. But before the team could get to become a legendary unit, Chapter 1 (The Starting Line) takes us back to the year prior, when Seattle lost 30-28 to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC divisional round of the playoffs.
Seahawks Legend and Seattle Sports 710 AM analyst K.J. Wright joins a group of his former teammates to break down the feeling of losing - but having a chance to run the table the following season.
"We got a taste of, That 'Hey, we're pretty dang good'. We have some talent - we've got a quarterback, we've got a running back, we have a young, up-and-coming defense - we can really make some noise," said Wright.

Denver Broncos quarterback and Seahawks Legend Russell Wilson is one of many former stars of the organization to spread their roots elsewhere that've lent a hand to the series to re-live their perspective on 2013. Wilson reflects on losing that matchup as a rookie, and his bold declaration.
"I remember walking off that field, "I remember telling Pete (Carroll) the same thing at the buses. That 'Coach, we're going to win the Super Bowl next year'. He looked at me and said, 'Yeah, I think so too'," said Wilson.
Season of Boom does more than montaging game clips and quotes from old press conferences, with special thanks to exclusive footage from fullback Michael Robinson's "The Real Rob Report" - Robinson's self-recorded vlog chronicling the year with exclusive interviews and bloopers from Seattle's 2013 team.
"The Real Rob Report, I wanted it to be locker room shows, for athletes by athletes. Basically, just showing the personalities of the guys." said Robinson.
Chapter 1 sets the foundation for the series, going back to Coach Pete Carroll's hiring in 2010 and the process of building a champion in just four seasons. Fans get a first-hand look at the moves made by the franchise to develop the "grit" Carroll is so famous for desiring from his players, like defensive lineman Michael Bennett. General Manager John Schneider talks about bringing back the 2009 undrafted free agent in 2012 as a free agent, thanks to his potential and fiery personality.
"Michael had been here before," said Schneider. "We'd scouted him a ton. We always appreciated his initial quickness, effort and his edgy attitude as well. And we needed pass rush help."
The Texas A&M alum talks about returning to Seattle as a free agent in 2013, after finding success with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"Definitely," said Bennett. "I felt the essence of this aura that they'd lost the year before, and people felt like they should've won. And I think, there was this chip on everybody's shoulders. The people they brought in were very chippy. Like (Tony McDaniel), me, Cliff (Avril)."

From finding gems in free agency like defensive tackle Tony McDaniel and Cliff Avril to trading with the Minnesota Vikings for wideout Percy Harvin, Chapter 1 shows the building of the roster before handing players a Microsoft Surface tablet to re-live Week 1's 12-7 win over the Carolina Panthers.
Chapter 2: Run This League
Week 2 of the 2013 season saw the Seahawks square off against divisional-foe the San Francisco 49ers. For the 2013 Seahawks to establish themselves as the new face of the league, Seattle needed to establish themselves as a true factor in the NFC. With the 2012 49ers falling to the Baltimore Ravens 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII, Seahawks Legends like running back Marshawn Lynch and tight end Luke Willson mic up to give their memories of Seattle's 29-3 Sunday Night Football thumping of the 49ers. Lynch breaks down a sideline conversation between he and cornerback Richard Sherman mid-game. As the duo celebrates the win, the pair agree at that moment that Seattle could hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
"Either he said," said Lynch. "I'm mic'd up or I asked him 'You mic'd up?' He was like 'Yeah'. Oh well - we probably knew we would win the Super Bowl. Right then and there."

2013 saw the establishment of Seattle's talented secondary, featuring safeties Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas as well as cornerback Richard Sherman developing into the "Legion of Boom". Through time, several other stars would emerge from the group, like cornerback Brandon Browner and safety Walter Thurmond, before expanding into a nickname for the entire defense. Sherman discusses how the name came about.
"I feel like it was like a radio interview," said Sherman. "We were on the field, I think it was Kam (Chancellor) and I. They were telling us about the nicknames that people were trying to give us, like the four horsem*n and all this crazy stuff. Somebody said the 'Legion of Doom', and I was like 'Oh'. Then, somebody said the 'Legion of Boom'. It's going to be a lot of iterations of who came up with it or who said it. We just kind've ran with it - well I ran with it. Because, I was kind've the spokesperson for most of the stuff."
After buying into the moniker, a chance basketball game with the members landing on the same team against NBA star Jamal Crawford's squad in an exhibition game gave the guys a look into their natural chemistry together. Chapter 2 looks at the foundational members of the L.O.B. (Chancellor, Thomas, Sherman, Browner) coming into their own before flashing back to Week 4's 23-20 overtime victory over the Houston Texans.

Chapter 3: Family for Life
Chapter 3 of Season of Boom kicks off during Week 6's 20-13 win over the Tennessee Titans, as the Seahawks prepare to go on a seven-game win streak, winning 9 of their final 11 games. As Seattle gets on a roll, the team begins to experience extreme national notoriety, thanks to the colorful personalities of stars on both sides of the ball. Chapter 3 begins with the various celebrations that the Seahawks stars became known for, from Bennett's hip gyrations, to holding up an L with your fingers for the L.O.B.
— Seattle Seahawks (@Seahawks) July 23, 2014WR Sidney Rice has announced his retirement from the @nfl.
Chapter 3 breaks down the key offensive contributors to Seattle's 2013 offense, from the veteran leadership of wideout Sidney Rice, to the emergence of wideouts Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate, Percy Harvin and Jermaine Kearse. Covering eight weeks into the year, the first-three chapters give a great look into Seattle's establishment of a powerhouse, as the buildup is created for Seattle's historic 2013 playoff run.
Season of Boom has something for everyone, from the 2013 purist that lived those precious moments of the Seahawks bringing the Pacific Northwest its first title, to enlightening those who may have missed a year to remember. The rest of the chapters will be launched over the next few days with chapters 4-6 premiering on Wednesday, chapters 7 and 8 on Thursday, and the final two chapters on Friday. Each chapter will be released at 5 p.m. PST.
