62nd Annual Lake Geneva Jaycees Venetian Festival — Wednesday & Thursday, Aug. 14 & 15, 5-11:45 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 16, 5 p.m.-midnight; Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 17, 10 a.m.-midnight, Flat Iron, Library and Seminary parks, Lake Geneva. One of Lake Geneva’s biggest events returns with a carnival, fireworks, a boat parade, water ski show, live music, beer tent, arts & crafts fair, baggo tournament and more. Some activities, like the carnival and the beer tent, are open each day of the event. See article in this week’s Resorter for more information.

Extreme Ski Show — Aug. 14, 6 & 7 p.m., Pier 290, 1 Liechty Drive, Williams Bay. Guests can watch riders perform tricks on a freestyle jet ski and flyboard from the lakefront piers and sandy beach of Pier 290. Free show for those who have a dining reservation. Prices vary. Southern Wakes Unlimited Water Ski Team shows — Friday, Aug. 16, 7-8 p.m., N7760 State Park Drive, Whitewater; Sunday, Aug. 18, noon-1 p.m., Precision Plus, 840 Koopman Lane, Elkhorn; and Friday, Aug. 23, 6-7 p.m., Lauderdale Landing, W5625 Westshore Drive, Elkhorn. The 2023 Wisconsin state tournament champions have three shows in the areas of Whitewater and Elkhorn. The Aug. 16 show is best viewed by boat on Whitewater Lake, as it cannot be viewed from the shore. On Aug. 18, guests should bring blankets and chairs. Southern Delight Dinner Train — Aug. 17, 5:30 p.m., East Troy Depot, 2002 Church St., East Troy. Meal includes Baby Back Pork Ribs, Creamy Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Summer Kernelled Confetti Corn, Jalapeño Corn Bread, Slaw Salad, Southern Shrimp Dip and Peach Cobbler Cheesecake. 2024 Baker House Venetian Masquerade Ball — Sunday, Aug. 18, 6-10 p.m., Baker House, 327 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva. Masks are de rigueur at this five-course dinner with the chance to watch the Lake Geneva Jaycees Venetian Festival fireworks display from the Baker House garden. Dinner from 6-8 p.m. Menu includes Summer Salad, a bread course, Lobster Ravioli, Filet Mignon with Potato Terrine and Lemon Pistachio Sorbet. Cost $60 per person. Fireworks in the garden at 7 p.m. Cost $20 per person. Exclusive VIP Pier Seating upgrades the affair to a seat over the waters of Geneva Lake with champagne. Cost $50 per person. Downtown Lake Geneva’s Lemonade Crawl — Tuesday, Aug. 20, 3-6 p.m., various Lake Geneva locations. The Rohde Family and Lake Geneva Business Improvement District (BID) developed this new event to celebrate National Lemonade Day. Guests can stroll through participating downtown Lake Geneva locations to enjoy a lemon-based treat and shop exclusive deals at local businesses. Participants include Clear Water Outdoor, Delaney Street Mercantile, Essence Sound Healing, Going Bananas, Guac Star, Hannah’s by the Lake, Lake Geneva Public Library, Pink Moon Bay Boutique, Salt & Kai, Seasons on the Lake, SoHo Boutique, Something Sweet, The Bottle Shop, The Rabbit Hole, Thrift-In, Thumbs Up and Queen Bee Artisan Market. The free, ticketed, family-friendly event is limited to 250 people. Donations suggested to support the Lake Geneva Mural Program. Maxwell Street Days — Friday-Sunday, Aug. 23-25, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., downtown Lake Geneva. For over 25 years, the annual summer sidewalk sale event has presented bargains to shoppers plus food, live music and more. Lake Geneva shops participating in the BID event include All About the Gown, Allison Wonderland, Bangles & Bags, Brick & Mortar Home, Avant Cycle Cafe, Bloomingbyrds, Bob’s Beach Shack, Chinawest Jewelers of Lake Geneva, Clear Water Outdoor, Cornerstone Shop & Gallery, CR Goodfinds, Dust Bunny Books, Edie Boutique & Home, Gallery 223, Geneva Tap House, Haberdapper, Hannah’s by the Lake, JAYNE, Lake Geneva Harley Davidson, Lake Geneva Spice Company, LG Gifts, Lake Life Market, Lola’s Clothing Store, Magpie’s Den & Pen, Marigold Gift Shop, Pacific Southwest Swimwear, Pink Moon Bay, Seasons on the Lake, Speedo’s Harborside Pub & Grill, Sterling Works, The Bottle Shop, The Hive, Treasure Cove, Tres Belle Boutique and Water Lily Boutique.
