Humans are the most beautiful creatures.. 🦋We care so much about life. Even if we pretend we don’t, it’s really because we care too much to bare.We have the will of a thousand suns but only if it means we get to love someone, or something, in some way. Do you hold resentments toward anyone? When we are resentful, we feel wronged. Someone or something hurt us, disappointed us, betrayed our trust.Whenever we're resentful, our world shrinks. We see through the eyes of our small self, and focus on the wrongdoing that has happened to us. The world gets heavy. Our thoughts become all about us. How can we be modest when our egos are inflated in pain?Resentment is like drinking poison hoping that the other person gets sick. It ties us to our wounds and makes us re-live the hurt over and over again. We stop moving forward. It’s the attachment to our righteousness that makes us stagnant, and we never arrive.We just experienced the rare super blue full moon in Pisces. My article was featured in this month's issue of Woman Of Faith magazine. It's been exciting to work with their wonderful editor, Liz Naidoo, over the past few months and challenge myself to write in a different style than usual. I feel like my writing voice has changed a lot already this year - it's like each book I've edited, each blog I've written, each client I've worked with, and each new challenge I've faced is coming with me somehow into every new piece I write._Here's an excerpt from this one, entitled 'Times are tough but God is in control'.The sky is painted with glory at sunrise by His hands; yet the same sky is painted gray with the soot of war by human hands. It can be hard as a Christian to live in such contradiction. Even though we know that God is good; do we see Him in the midst of our day-to-day lives?Our idea of heaven can often be focused on going away and escaping our real life struggles. But God promises to build His kingdom here on Earth - that means that He desires to walk with us through our real life struggles. We don't have to live in such duality between the holy and the ordinary.“God is the Alpha and the Omega,the Beginning and the End,the First and the Last”(Rev. 22:13)When we look at the world around us today, it can be easy to feel defeated and give up hoping for change. We buy into the idea that the past was good and the present is bad - which is not true at all.
